The renowned magazine will be continued with the proven team.

On 1 October 2023, the WIRTSCHAFTSNACHRICHTEN brand licence will be legally returned to WEKA Industrie Medien. This means that the established media brand with its local editions Danube Region, South and West will continue seamlessly with the proven team and will be published monthly by WEKA Industrie Medien from February 2024.

"WIRTSCHAFTSNACHRICHTEN is a great addition to our B2B portfolio, especially the regional character and the strong economic policy voice should remain unchanged," says Beatrice Schmidt, Managing Director of WEKA Industrie Medien GmbH.

"With WIRTSCHAFTSNACHRICHTEN, we are now supplementing our INDUSTRIEMAGAZINE even better in terms of content, especially for the SME sector, and deepening our regional anchoring in the industrial core areas in southern and western Austria," says Rudolf Loidl, Cluster Manager Industrial Media at WEKA Industrie Medien GmbH.

The WIRTSCHAFTSNACHRICHTEN editorial and sales team will essentially remain in place following the change of ownership. "We are delighted that we can successfully continue the brand, strengthen our profile and now also launch a new digital presence," says Editor-in-Chief Stefan Rothbart.

In order to make WIRTSCHAFTSNACHRICHTEN even more future-proof, the WIRTSCHAFTSNACHRICHTEN and INDUSTRIEMAGAZIN teams are now working on a multimedia approach that includes digital and, above all, multimedia formats in addition to printed content. "We are looking forward to the future together," say Stefan Rothbart and Rudolf Loidl.
